Tactical Genius Mourinho Shows Up Wenger....AGAIN in Draw with Arsenal

I am hearing a lot of crap being said and I DON'T LIKE IT! I am hearing about how Chelsea were too defensive, and played for the draw and had ten men behind the ball. Hmm. Well, I did look at the stats and Chelsea DID have more shots on target and I DID watch the match and Chelsea seemed to have a better control of the game and were more threatening on attack. On the other hand, Arsenal had TWO shots on target and Mourinho again showed why you MUST come up with something different and more CREATIVE to break his team down.

As the away team playing against your rival team, the FIRST objective is to NOT lose. You have to respect the quality of your opponent, and know they are just as good as you. That is why trying to go all gung-ho on their turf is stupid and something only imbeciles would try. Mourinho focused on defence and ensured he stopped Arsenal from playing their game, to quieten the crowd and make the home team uncomfortable. Then he employed his counter attack that was executed to sexual perfection by Hazard and Lampard who were the best players on the pitch. Arsenal have pretty much nothing in regards to chances, while Lampard hit the bar and Willian (who SUCKED in this match) wasted two GREAT chances. For me, as an away team, that is really quite the achievement. All that Mourinho was missing was what his team deserved, and that was a goal. I don't want to hear about that overrated stat called possession. Chelsea were the better team, and should have taken the chances that they had.

Chelsea are still in the title race and they are the STRONGEST team mentally in the fight for the title. They may be the weakest team if you look at quality per man, but the team has that strong desire and strong will that Liverpool, City and most definitely Arsenal do no possess. That is what Mourinho will be drawing on to make them pip the others...and of course...A DAMN STRIKER WHO CAN ACTUALLY SCORE!
