ALL HAIL ROBBEN HOOD, A TRUE BIG TIME PLAYER

United came close....but in the end, what they were missing was a component ALL great teams need. Bayern are a great team, WITH or WITHOUT Pep. They showed that left to their own devices, they know how to dig really deep inside and extract that winning beast. But it all stemmed from one man. A dude who knew that the time for tactics and teamplay had to go out the window. ENTER THE MAN, THE BEAST, THE PLAYA THAT IS ROBBEN HOOD!

A lot of people hate Robben, because of how selfish he is. They say he does not pass, is a simple ball-hog and is not a team-player.
Well, the dude did supply that pass for MULLER to score with his...RIGHT FOOT. But mostly, people are right...HE IS a ball-hog, and I applaud that. He is SELFISH, and very single-minded and I ENCOURAGE THAT. Long may it continue, because that is what makes him so good and effective.

It's one thing to hog the ball and be CRAP and actually ineffective. But how many times has Robben cut inside and slotted the ball either in the bottom-corner or in the roof of the net. TOO MANY times to count. The fact is that, he MAKES THINGS HAPPEN, and in all honesty....there isn't really a player that does what he does in the world. Messi seems to be restricted to the system of Barcelona, whilst Ribery lacks the cutting edge that Arjen has. It goes back to something I mentioned some time before, of why I thought it was a VERY strong argument for Robben to win the Ballon D'Or. For him to not even get SHORTLISTED is a travesty and goes to show how people don't appreciate TRUE talent when it stares them directly in the face.

It's something to think about, as to how history will remember Arjen Robben. I've always pointed to a World Cup win as something NEEDED on the CV. He had a GREAT chance to win it when they played Spain, but FLOPPED. He most likely will never get into the exclusive club, but I have to say he is one of those players that I will remember very fondly. I think it's important that someone sings his praises and tries to show that he is a DUDE that TAKES CHARGE OF THE GAME. A player that can play in any team, and impose his own style on a match. A dude that had the confidence to TRY AND SCORE and ANTICIPATE rather than wait. Truly superstar players make things happen, and manage to separate themselves from the group. Arjen is exactly that, and right now...I'm saying it...HE IS THE BEST FOOTBALLER IN THE WORLD. If you can give me a compelling argument of someone who is better INDIVIDUALLY, then by all means drop a comment...chances are, you can't.
