HAIL THE KING MOURINHO, AS HE OUTSHINES BLANC AND PSG, FOR CHELSEA TO ADVANCE TO SEMIS!!!

I apologize. I would like to send my sincerest apologies to Mourinho. I thought PSG would go through. I thought it was TOO MUCH to ask of this Chelsea team to come and score the goals needed and STOP PSG from scoring. But Mourinho is not any ordinary individual. HE IS THE KING. And he showed that by doing EXACTLY what he set out to do. He got the PRECISE result needed....and they COMPLETELY deserved it.

It all started with that defense. The backline were EXCELLENT. Luiz was played as a defensive midfielder and looked a lot better, whilst Terry, Cahill and others were RESOLUTE. PSG, played it nice in the first half, but there was a lack of definition. Against one of the best coached defenses in the world, you NEED a strategy. You can't just expect the players to go out there and make it happen. This was AT THE BRIDGE where Chelsea have a SUPERB record. It fell on Blanc to really utilize Cavani, Lavezzi and Lucas, to open up that Chelsea defense and give them things to think about. Blanc failed in that department.

As good as your defense is, you NEED something in attack because this is the business of getting those goals. Before Andre the German came on, it was far too balanced for Chelsea. They came forward, PSG held them then PSG came forward. As things continued, I just did not see Chelsea scoring TWO, one maybe but not two. Then that change happened, and I thought it was over, if Chelsea's star was out...Hazard.

But Schurrle stepped the FUCK up, and changed the game. He lifted the energy of the team, and just added so much life that Chelsea could now attack and cause PSG problems. Once that goal went in, IN the first half, then it looked like Chelsea could do it because the climate of the game had completely changed.

We can talk all we want about Mourinho, because he IS one of the main reasons that Chelsea went through. But Ba, a striker who has hardly been playing much this season and is most likely to be sold, SCORED THE CRUCIAL GOAL. He was at the right place, at the right time, and got enough of a connection to simply....PUT. THE. BALL. IN. THE. NET. That is it. It's all I want from my strikers. When it counts, FIND WHATEVER WAY YOU CAN, TO. PUT. THE. BALL. IN. THE. NET.

PSG did not really come with anything. I thought that they would score because surely Blanc MUST have known that they would have needed, at LEAST a goal to win this match or take it to extra-time. He SURELY did not think he would restrict Chelsea to just a solitary goal in their cribb.

Mourinho has always wanted to win the Champions League with Chelsea. It's why he came back. It's his home, it's where he feels loved and he has unfinished business with Chelsea in this competition. I look at the teams that are left, and Chelsea can beat ANY of them. Bayern are still that machine, but with how Chelsea are setup and if Schurrle can play like he did last night, THIS is a Chelsea team that not many teams will want to face.
