MANCHESTER CITY ARE DESERVED CHAMPIONS....AS LIVERPOOL COMPLETELY CHOKED

They did it. THIS TIME, it was far less dramatic than under Mancini. In the end, there was no more drama with City going out and DESERVEDLY beating West Ham who maybe had like ONE chance...if that. You have to commend City on winning the games when they needed to, with that Everton match AWAY that proved to be the decisive match for them in the season. As for Liverpool, it will go down at THE biggest choke job in history and Chelsea have to wonder how different the season would have turned out if they actually had a striker on their team.

Liverpool could taste the trophy...that is how close they were. THEY HAD THE FUCKING THING IN THEIR GRASP. All they had to do was get that draw from Chelsea, BEAT Crystal Palace and then beat Newcastle at home. It's all they needed to do, but somehow that just proved too hard for them.

Rodgers and the fans will want to put it down as a successful season, but everyone can smell the cookies. THEY WANTED this, and they wanted this bad. In the end, it was just down to bad decision-making from Rodgers and a lack of a malleable plan to use depending on the scenario. Because in truth, Liverpool were in the perfect position to win the league and I am still quite shocked at the manner in which they just handed the trophy over to City without much of a fight.

I think that Chelsea would have won this league had Mourinho had the striker he craved. Blondie, Eto'o and Ba all misfired and not one of them showed the leadership and dependability to be the GO-TO striker for Chelsea for the entire season. Far too many games they lost which they SHOULD have won and would have won had they been given a striker.

Mourinho did his best this season and some of his tactical decisions SAVED them some games, but he was required to be FAR TOO hands-on and in the end, in too many games....the strikers let him down and just did not perform to the required standard needed to compete. Dzeko, Aguero, Negredo, Cannibal Suarez and Sturridge all performed and that was the big difference.

Pellegrini must be congratulated for the work he did in his FIRST SEASON. I don't care about the players he had with him. Liverpool were a REAL threat this season and to come in, not having ever won a league title, and actually come good and City the league by a few points rather than goal difference...is something that must be commended.

They played very good football and whilst Liverpool were cowboyish in their ways with letting in goals for fun, City attacked fluidly but also defended very well. They were a far more complete team that truly deserved to win the league based on how ALL ASPECTS of their team was balanced and worked like a fully-functioning machine. Now....can City now dominate this league like their neighbours did?
