Balotelli to Liverpool.....Don't Think it Will Work Out....

So apparently it's true. Inzaghi doesn't want Balo and he is now SHIPPING his ass off to Anfield. It's what Rodgers wanted. Some sort of a replacement to the Cannibal. A STRIKER and someone to work with Sturridge or to be an alternative to him. BUT, for my six cents, I'm not sure if this will work out....

Everyone knows of all the fun and excitement the Telli had with City. But Mancini found it impossible to cope with him. The AMAZING talent is there, but you need the workrate and effort to go with such talents. Unfortunately, Balotelli has been sporadic in the efforts that he gives. It's bloody annoying because if he applied himself properly, like the Real Ronaldo did...he could easily be one of the best footballers in a world of not many great players. ESPECIALLY, as we are in a deluge of striking talent and power.

But over the past few seasons, Balotelli has not become the kind of player that he OUGHT to have been. Too many matches at Milan, he is in and out of games and ONLY for a few instances do we see the kid produce that STINKING goal he scored from about fifty yards at an angle. He SHOULD be scoring those kinds of goals a lot more.

Sturridge is still the main striker, even if Balotelli comes. As of now, Balotelli is more talented but Sturridge is the better striker because of his goals to games ratio....AND workrate. But Rodgers could try a system of putting Balotelli just behind Sturridge and see how that works out. Mario actually was very creative under the horrid Allegri Milan season...so him playing in that hole might work.

I don't think it will work. Just don't. I get the thinking but Rodgers should have gone for Hernandez, who is still the most underrated and under the radar goalscorer out there. I'm sure Van Gaal would have sold him...only for the right price. With Balotelli, you are getting too wild a card. Either absolutely amazing and incredible...or NADA.
