Lampard is one of Mourinho's boys. They have a very close bond and I'm sure they both cried over pecan pie and butterscotch when they had to part ways. But Jose assumed Lampard would lay on a beach for six months and play the drums on his belly before heading to New York City. But no. Pellegrini may now be showing some sly moves by getting Lampard as a dig toward Mourinho.
Frank is past it. He is not good enough to start in that City team and not sure if he has the legs for the squad. So it is pretty obvious that the only reason he is being brought in is simply because...Pellegrini wants to piss my boy off. It's a big fat middle finger at Jose. Pellegrini hopes Lamps is fit for when they play Chelsea so that the old boy can score the winner against his beloved club and coach. Then Pellegrini can jump around in front of Mourinho...turning the tables.
It's the only reason. I refuse to believe that it is purely for footballing reasons. The next joker that gives me stats of Lampard at Chelsea that were relevant when dinosaurs sold cocaine on the corner, gets six slaps to the cheek.
