Should Allegri be given credit for Juventus start...or is the Serie A a ONE CLUB League?
Oh well.....that's a shame. I was REALLY looking forward to ripping up on Allegri, but painfully I can't. Juventus have had a perfect start to the league, and it ain't luck. They have been GOOD, ROBUST and DEFENSIVELY MEAN AS A BULL ON SUNDAY. But, before I proclaim Allegri as the greatest coach since the wheel was invented...is the Serie A just a load of crap?
I've always liked the Serie A. I keep it all football, but it's hard to when cretins and clowns like Tavecchio and some fans are about. But it's a VERY technically superior league where tactics are honed. So why is one team looking to yet again go through the entire season unbeaten?
If you look at the SQUAD that Juventus have and their players, it's pretty much perfect for a league campaign. From the back to the front, you have so much variety and versatility, that even if you get two injuries, there are so many players that can come back and be a perfect replacement. You have freakin' GIOVINCO on the damn bench. That is what other teams have to try and contend with.
But Allegri has this team playing some delicious defense. You CANNOT score. The defenders mark tight, and the organization is incredible. It reminds me of the Italy of old who refused ENTRANCE to anyone trying to breach their great wall. So Allegri must be thanked for that, because Conte does have the trophies to show off, but his team were never this defensively sound.....so far though.
As far as the Serie A is concerned, I just don't know what team can beat them. Perhaps a Parma or Fiorentina or Napoli who are very strong in their cribbs may find Juventus on a bad day and BEAT THAT ASS. However, look at the money or rather the coins that are left in Italy. Teams just can't go out and buy players of quality, and there really isn't much of a youth system to really boast about in Italy at the moment.
Tis only the start of the season and I can't just let Allegry off the hook. Mathematically, Juventus can still get relegated, so we just have to wait and see how the season unfolds. But as of RIGHT NOW, this Juventus team are looking very strong, and with the refs in their pock......haha, just kidding!
Or am I....hehe
