Mourinho Silences that West Ham booty in EASY Victory for Chelsea
Last time West Ham came to the cribb, Mourinho lamented that Allardyce and his team were playing 2nd century football. West Ham made it hard and frustrated the heck out of Chelsea. But about a year on, things are VERY different...
When they last met, Chelsea were without a striker, no resolute defensive midfielder or a deep lying player who had excellent passing. Those three spots are now filled and were pretty much why Chelsea TOTALLY dominated West Ham.
Allardyce's team are A LOT better this year than last year, and their football has them rightfully fourth. But perhaps, their more updated football was not the right tactic to use against THIS Chelsea team. Because there is this belief that against a defensive team, Chelsea can't create. But Hazard can beat most men one-on-one, Fabregas can pick out any pass and Costa is the REALEST striker in the world today, who knows when and where to run. That is all I ask of a striker. All that extra stuff from strikers is not relevant to me. Costa does what the job description states, and that is why he is on top of the deck to me as a PURE striker.
West Ham won't last. They should be in the top eight or nine at least, as they are good enough to keep taking points. Valencia and Carroll TRIED, but with Matic in the team, Chelsea are pretty much impenetrable. These Hammers just never looked like they even came close to making this any contest. Well and truly served....
The title race is on because City will be breathing down Mourinho's neck. And if you are a neutral, this could be one of the most entertaining title battles, with two very different teams, style and philosophies. But NEVER bet against my boy...never.
