Meh. That is really my main reaction to the draw. My own personal draw was far more interesting. The two favourites literally have byes to the quarters, and THREE of the ties are matches we saw last year. Real should SPANK Schalke, and City will run Barcelona close but the Liga boys will sign that booty and Chelsea against PSG is another close one, but we've already seen it. FC Porto and Basel is the sideshow that may end up having a lot of goals and the other matches are pretty straightforward. And that really only leaves one standout draw which pits two VERY different styles of football against each other. Sorry, it's NOT Chelsea and PSG....
Juventus finally made it out of the pack, first or second, they made it out. It could have been worse. If they went up against Bayern, Real and maybe Chelsea, they are OUT. They ain't beating those teams, especially the Madrid or Munich kids. But this match against Dortmund is the best middle-of-the-road game for them. There's just so much going in there. Do they respect a team fighting for relegation? Do they underestimate a team that were Champions League finalists a few years ago and topped their group? A lot will be going on in their minds and there is also the thing of facing a team that has the complete opposite way of playing to them, which makes for great football.
I just want to see how the match unfolds. It could be cagey, or it could be a rather exciting match. When Juventus were forced to come out and ATTACK Olympiacos, they showed that they have an attacking side to their game, so it could be a pretty cool cowboy match.
