England, don't make Harry Kane another Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Sterling (insert another HYPE player)

The boy is good. I think we can all agree to that. He played well against Chelsea in BOTH matches, but after the 5-3 reconstruction of the West London boys, I think Kane has ARRIVED. But relax, when I say he has arrived, this ain't no Shearer or Owen at his peak. So just pause, and see him for what he is...as of NOW.

I like how the guy plays. It's clear he has a good football brain. He's a dude that knows what he is doing when on the ball.

There's a nice balance to him, good control with the ball and obviously has that BELIEF as he showed against the league leaders. This is all true my dear friends and Spurs supporters. But to now proclaim him as the future of English football is waaaaaaaay too premature.

Remember, maybe you have, but I have not forgotten that England finished BOTTOM of a World Cup group with Costa Rica. So that can tell you exactly where English football is right now.

Back to Mr. Kane, I don't know how good he can be. It's early days, it's just ONE season, so there is no indication that this guy can either maintain this performance or elevate his game. But Tottenham have a star right now, and with those around him and with what Pocchettino is doing, I have been shocked. Because who knows what the Spurs can do?

The very important thing is to keep Kane grounded. Ignore all the noise and hype, reject any dumb promo shoots, and just focus on his football. His aim has to be to get Tottenham in the top four through his goals, assists and general football. That should be all he eats, drinks and sleeps right now. Because the eyes are all on him, and it is very easy to get caught up in the excitement that is always overdone by the English. But Harry, you ain't done nothing yet. Truly great players show up when their team needs them, and as long as he is free of injury, there will be matches in which his teams needs him, as Arsenal WANT their fourth spot which they feel is theirs to give away.

I like it, because this sticks two fingers at all the big teams who go and buy players for STUPID amounts of money.

This is the Ajax way. A guy who has come through the ranks, done the hard grind, and is now reaping the rewards of his performances by starting in the team that he supports. It's a great story, whether or not you give two fudges about Kane or not.

But remember....he is not amazing, he ain't a great and he's done nothing truly special to take note of. Shearer DID lead Blackburn to that title, Owen DID score that amazing goal at the World Cup against Argentina. So please...relax, and don't get too overexcited.
