Man City Have Made up Ground, and NOW My Boy and Chelsea are in a Title Race
I did not see this coming....SO soon. Yeah, I thought Chelsea would run away with it but realistically, City I saw would claw back but maybe in March and Chelsea's might eventually would pull them away. But wow, what a START to the year. Level on points, level on goal difference. This IS the definition of a mofo title race!
My boy can call about how he was hard done by with the referee and crucial calls. But Chelsea were deservedly beaten and to conceded FIVE goals against a crew that they normally snipe, should leave no room for any sort of argument.
And the worrying thing for Chelsea is it was the first time this season they looked VERY vulnerable. The so-called rock at the back of Terry and Cahill were torn to pieces by a a guy called....Harry Kane. Just think on that for two moments.....
It spells very good things for City. I was done with them. I insulted Pellegrini, his mother and his cat, but he just came back and shoved it right in my face. They put their heads down and just got those results. Similar to how they won it last season, they just got into that zone and took up the points. And if they had beaten Burnley, which they should have, they would be sitting right at the top of the table with the forces of a great Oba behind them with Chelsea trying to regain their confidence.
When these two cats are playing for City and are in sync? There is NO team in the Premiership that can stop them. It's just as simple as that. So when either one is injured or they are having a bad game, then y'all have a chance. But when they are on it, it's just too much cheddar and booty to stop. Sorry, just plain facts.
But, Mourinho will thank the heavens that Toure will be off for the Nations cup which will put a lot more pressure on Fernandinho to pick up his workload, and will perhaps give Chelsea a little bit of an edge for however long Ivory Coast last in the Nations cup....a trophy the MUST FINALLY WIN.
Why....WHY??????????
I understand Mourinho let Lampard got to New York, but he should have put something in the contract that said Lampard could NOT join their bloody title-rivals!
You can see the pain in Mourinho's eyes seeing just how effective Lampard is. This guy is scoring CRUCIAL goals. That's what has to be most heartbreaking. IF City end up winning the league by a point or goal-difference, that equaliser against Chelsea and that winner with the head that trumped Sunderland would have been priceless jewels. And there is the whole murky issue of player ownership and the guidelines of a transfer which I am sure my boy will definitely use, but it is what it is, and Chelsea just have to deal with it.
This is, I hope, going to be quite a title race. It's only about two teams now. DON'T give me Van Gaal and his juju-using ass. Either Chelsea (which I stand by) or City will end up as winners at the end of the season.
The beauty is you can see how both teams can slip. Sometimes City look unbeatable and like against Burnley they can implode. Chelsea looked invincible until they lost to Newcastle and now that defence has shown that it can be plagiarized.
Whoever wins....THIS is why the Premiership is the most EXCITING league in the world.
