Malaga MAY have shown how the Barcelona Dragon can be Slayed
So I have been talking about how Barcelona cannot IMMANUEL KANT (look him up) cannot be beaten. The three pimps at the front, want their cash and you have to just pay up. But, Malaga....with a strong defensive line has shown HOW to possibly beat this Barcelona team, but could City possibly follow suit?
The theory that I had and believed was that you can't stop the trio. They WILL score against you. And if they are playing against a team called Malaga, at HOME, then I mean, is there really any point in even watching the match? But it seems that if you have a very disciplined defensive structure, which many teams don't have, and can steal a goal, then perhaps that W can be obtained.
This is not the same Barcelona team under Guardiola who had the added creativity of Iniesta and Xavi who kept the ball well and could always find that pass. These cats are different with a huge emphasis on Lionel Ritchie. He is producing more passes, and is the one that Neymar and the
Cannibal look for the pass from. So then, if you try and shut down Messi, and understand the runs he looks for from his teammates, and just get a bit lucky, then you can stop them from scoring.
In truth, the pass Messi made to the Cannibal was ONSIDE, and if that play had continued then that would have been the equalizer. But still, the fact that Malaga defended very well but also had good chances to counter and score shows that my friend Luis Enrique still needs to work on giving Lionel more support and getting more out Iniesta. Remember, Rakitic was not playing and right now, he gives Barcelona a lot more cheddar than Andres and Xabi.
I have to praise Malaga. Can't just talk about how bad Barcelona were or how they could have done more, or whether they should have worn a different kit. Malaga defended REALLY well, worked really hard and showed the importance of tactics. Because quite frankly, I am sick and tired of having jokers like Levante and Elche lurking about who are leaking five to six goals for fun. There is no excuse to allow that many goals if you are a professional team playing in the top division.
Can City do what Malaga did? My answer would be no, but they DO have the players that can employ this tactic. They have defensive midfielders as well as pass-experts to counter and one of the hottest strikers out there to finish things off. So it all comes down on their Chilean head-dude to watch what Malaga did and realise that going for their customary all-out attack and giving Barcelona space, especially to the dribbling sensations that are Messi and Neymar will lead to their total beatdown and destruction.
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF A DISCIPLINED DEFENCE.
