Can Liverpool's Defence stop an Arsenal in full silk flow?

So here we go, as the season closes towards the end, we now enter the critical time where a loss can be GAME over for chances of CL or not.

Arsenal have found their groove, and caught up with City. As my man Robman would say, when top four is in danger, Arsenal go into 1970 Brazil mode and GET IT DONE. So for Liverpool, they are facing an Arsenal that are on it.

We can safely assume that this won't be a blitzfest that was inspired by the Cannibal. Liverpool are definitely playing well, but that United loss was a serious dent, especially psychologically. It was a setback, and for Liverpool to even have a CHANCE, this is a win that they NEED. Another loss to a team that they are in direct competition with and it could be lights out.

With the way that Liverpool started, I assumed that sixth was the best they could hope for. I expected Everton to finish above them, but...can a man sometimes be wrong?

Rodgers has to be commended for getting his players locked in, and still getting results from the wild attacking style of last season. But that defence is still their achilles heel. And I for one have never seen Skrtel as a reliable defender, and one you can really call elite.

Arsenal have hit their stride. That means their passing game is tight, and they are ready to cut up some booty. The real concern is can Liverpool hold and cut out critical passes coming from Cazorla and the Zillage?

I expect a close game. And for Liverpool it will be a question of if they can shut down Arsenal's game. Allowing them to play and pass the ball and find their rhythm and relaxation in the game could be lights out. Because Liverpool just don't have great defenders. You need these cats with high IQ to cut out and anticipate those key passes. Can you expect Skrtel and Lovren to do that for ninety minutes?

For Liverpool, those three of Sturridge, Coutinho and Sterling will be hugely important. But there needs to be adjustments to the attack. Liverpool lost that game to United because they could readjust themselves, slow down their game and try to build up an attack. It was too much of a rush and Van Gaal was prepared and countered it.

It is a hard one to call, and maybe I will reveal it as usual during my pre-match vid. But I do feel this will be a very eventful game. Liverpool WILL try and attack and test Arsenal's defence and Wenger will have confidence on if his boys can pick out those passes and create those one-touch passes to make chances.

The season is beginning to POP.
