Player of the Year Awards for Premiership sees Hazard and Sanchez against....*crickets*

Another year and another set of these lovely awards that gives us who has been THE outstanding player of the year in the Premiership. And to be honest with you, since this is the new and improved and brutally honest HH, this is between two players and as people have said...why defenders don't get enough recognition is beyond me. However, have there REALLY been any defenders that have stood out from this season?

It's between Lexis and Bio-Hazard. I just don't see any other footballer even in the conversation. Because I do believe this is performance OVER a whole season and not just the past month. And when Chelsea lift the trophy, it will be Hazard who would have been paramount to their success as well as the very tough defence that has faltered a bit as the season has begun to wear down.

Then with my main man Lexis, I can't remember the last time a player had such amazing DEBUT season in a new club and country. Normally, it takes time t adjust to the "frenetic" speed of the Premiership, but Sanchez came and BALLED, because as we all know, he from the jungles of Chile and therefore he plays by a different set of rules from the rest of us. He hit that ground running and again, fatigue has gotten the better of him but in the totality of things, he has been INCREDIBLY crucial to Arsenal sitting in second place right now....and NO, they are only moving down or remaining, NOT going up.

And....that's it. What else do you want me to say? Oh yeah, that's right, Harry Kane. Yep, pretty good season. Who's next? Coutinho? Very clutch in the last few weeks, but where was he for the full season? You have to be a lot more consistent. And you could talk of Southampton who have punched about three universes above their weight, but I say it is more of a team effort rather than and individual doing anything really amazing. But I don't even want to HEAR any debate about who is the manger of the year. I don't even need to say his name. It should pretty much be automatic, and there needs to not even be any procession or build-up...give him his award because what he achieved this season was a damn miracle with the dudes he had in his team.

It really does not matter who wins, same as the Ballon D'Or being an irrelevant award. But what really bakes my whiskers and always has are medals, winning goals, great performances, and moments of magic or sheer will all in the name of winning the football match. The suits, and glitz and glamour has NOTHING to do with the blood sweat and tears that you must spill when out there on the green and white battlefield. HH
