Sterling Leaving Liverpool at THIS STAGE, is IDIOTIC
There are many bigger clubs than Liverpool right now. This is not to ruffle the feathers of any Liverpool fans, but it's just stating a fact.
PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Chelsea, Manchester City are all bigger clubs than Liverpool right now and clubs that can realistically challenge for every trophy going EVERY season. So to leave Liverpool for any of those to further your career...makes perfect sense to me. But where the line must be drawn, is the kind of player you are, as well as your age.
For a twenty year old, to now demand a move when his balls have yet to drop in footballing-terms is quite frankly, LUDICROUS.
Liverpool were the ones that had a big say in making Sterling the player he is today. He came through the ranks, and whether he wants to admit it or not, he is still in the development stage. No way is he ready for a big move, and even if he wants to not be too crazy and go to Arsenal, there are times where I have to just come out and expose the stupidity that some footballers exhibit.
When you are young, and playing well in a club that fits your football, you have to remain there and continue to develop your game. Because it's all about reaching your potential and being the best possible player that you can be. The key age seems to be 24 or 25 where a player should really start thinking of perhaps making that big move AFTER they have already had several years improving and refining their game. Then they can go to Barcelona or Bayern and feel confident that they can win in a contest of getting onto that first-team sheet.
What plausible reason can Raheem or his agent have for leaving Liverpool? And why are they
demanding so much cash? I don't need a figure, because I will end up picking up my laptop and smashing it in anger that some adolescent is getting such a sum and I can't eat out of it. So my attention is on the very reason as to why Sterling would want to leave Liverpool at such a young age..because he is playing a dangerous game.
Will Liverpool totally sink without him? No. There is a guy called the Ridge,Coutinho, and there is always another young star coming up the ranks. So Liverpool could just fall back and allow Sterling to leave, and if he does, where is this form that tells us that he is GUARANTEED to succeed in whatever club that he chooses? Where is the certainty that says he will start every game, as he does with Liverpool, at the club that he may move to?
These are the questions that these young footballers just don't go through. Once they get hot, they want to just shoot off before actually taking the time to properly develop their game. So then it's all about earning the big money as early as possible, without actually trying to become a better footballer. And I can't just put Sterling on an island, as there are so many footballers of the modern day age who just want take the big money. Because the game has changed. There is SO MUCH money involved, much more than ever before in history, and these players will want to eat some of that before they see their chance go away forever. It has made the game much worse as it has stifled competition, meaning that instances like that Shearer Blackburn league win will probably never happen again.
Raheem, be smart. You are not the next big superstar, and if you move to a big club, you are NOT guaranteed to succeed. So the best thing is to keep your ass where it is, take the money offered to you, because I am sure you can survive on a few grand a week....I know it will be hard, but just try, I'm sure you can do it. And if you do it, you will be better for it in the next two or three years, where you can then think about making that move where you will be in a better position to fight for your place in a more competitive squad.
