Mourinho is never going back to Madrid, Arbeloa is talking out of his...
No. It's done. That door is FIRMLY shut. There is very little chance of Mourinho making what would be a hollywood twist-like return back to a club that pretty much told him to take a hike.
Too much bad blood, fights with the press, and in-fighting with players pretty much sealed the deal of Mourinho and Madrid ever having any kind of relationship ever again. But the world and life is a crazy thing, and stranger things HAVE happened before.
Arbeloa "claims" that the rift that Mourinho had with the players was not as bad as people made it out to be. Which is pretty much dumb and wrong. Because Ramos has come out and said pretty much that they are better under Carlo than the Chosen One. You have not even heard any rumors or talk around the campfire of any rifts with Ancelotti or any disgruntled players. That simply was not the case when Mourinho was around.
I have always felt, and NOT bein biased, that Mourinho got a really bad rap at Madrid. Because remember how good Madrid were in the Champions League before Jose? And also remember just how well they used to challenge Barcelona in the league?
Yeah....
When Mourinho came, he was brought in to make Madrid competitive again. This was the man who had worked his magic wand to great success with THREE clubs, and was now the hottest property. But it was his two Champions League titles with two different teams that made Madrid want to hire him. As good as the La Liga was, it was all about that tenth title. Which as we know, Madrid came close to getting, but bowed out before the final, and in one instance under VERY suspect circumstances. So okay, no Champions League, but he DID give them a record points total and finally ran Pep out of town, learning to nullify the tic-tac-toe boogie. Should he not be credited for this?
Back to the topic. This ship has sailed and can never be brought back. In his final Champions League interview, he talked about going back to a place that appreciated him, and wanting to be loved essentially. This was a clear message in BIG RED LETTERS, saying that he was not happy in Madrid and most importantly, he was not loved. Because people may view Mourinho as this arrogant bigot or whatever, but he is very emotional and wears his heart on his sleeves. Love him or hate him, it is why EVERYONE finds him so captivating because of how he is very black and white in his mood. You don't get that any day in football, especially with managers. And don't know about you, but I love that.
It just would not make any sense for him to go back. If I was to put a bet and put my HHastrdamus hat on, then I think he wants to build a legacy at Chelsea for the next ten years, then ultimately bow out of the game by taking Portugal to a Euros and World Cup. That is the path that I see for him as of now, with Madrid not even being a thought in his mind.
Leave you with this.....
Are Madrid as a WHOLE, better off with Ancelotti over Mourinho?
