A Dormant Aguero is Holding Man City Back from FULL POWER

Another match has gone, and Aguero has not been like the man we've all come to know. The movement, sharpness, anticipation and pinpoint finishing has not been with him this season. The longer he struggles to get in the zone, the less likely, however talented they may be, that City have of winning the title.

The two times that City have won the title, Aguero has played a very important part. Without his goals, there would be no way City could call themselves two-time Premier League champions. He's the icing on the cake, the one at the frontline who finishes off the great creative work from Yaya and David. But what has plagued his career, apart from bricking it up for Argentina, has been injury.

If Aguero did not have the fitness issue which Robben suffered and overcame during his time at Chelsea, then he would easily be one of the greatest strikers of his generation. When he's at his best, there's nothing you can do when the ball is at his feet. He is too quick, too sharp, can dribble, and can pull of a shot from anywhere he damn pleases.

But injury...

Against City tonight, you saw shades of what he could do but just wasn't there. The ball wasn't sticking to him, and he never managed to get enough of those vital chances. He had a great ball that was played along to his feet, but because of a lack of sharpness, he didn't time his run well enough and couldn't get the right connection needed to burst open the net.

The title race is hotting up now and Leicester City want to stand up and be counted, whilst Tottenham wait one the sidelines. Kompany is very important in controlling that defense as Mangala and even Otamendi can't really be trusted. Yaya Toure is of course the heart and engine of the team whilst Silva is the one who cojures up the spells. But you need that striker. Bony has been a huge letdown and Iheanacho may not be ready for the big time yet. So it all falls on the Argentine to start hitting his stride, because City need him.

If Aguero can arise, and really click into gear, then City are very much the frontrunners. They already have the most talented squad in the Premiership, and when they are at their best, there is no other team in the league that can skewer and barbecue the liviing daylights out of other professional clubs like they can. Not in Europe though, but in the domestic division.

Kun...your Club needs you, as this is a title that is waiting to be won...
