Wolfsburg MUST NOT Sell Ricardo Rodriguez

Don't do it. Do not allow this to happen. It was bad enough that they let De Bruyne slip from their grasps, but Ricardo has to be part of their three most important players. If Wolfsburg allow him to get sold to United or whatever team, it will set them further back.

The effect of De Bruyne is now starting to show. Things looked good earlier on in the season, but now they are losing games and in matches where the flying winger would have done something to turn it in their favor, that isn't happening anymore. They don't have that go-to player to win the game for them when things get tight.

Rodriguez may not be the bearer of goals and assists that De Bruyne was, but he is a very important member of the team. Apart from being a reliable defender, he's good footballer who can confidently bring the ball up from his flank and combine well with other players. It makes Wolfburg more expansive by having him adding an extra dimension to the attack. Just like with what Marcelo does for Madrid and Alves for Barcelona.

There's also his excellent set-piece delivery. Free-kicks, corners; he's the dude that they call in to deliver those. So if they sell him, Wolfsburg now lose out on that which is an aspect of football that can lead to a lot of vital goals, and can be difference between getting three points or just the solitary one. All in all, he brings a multitude of skills to the table, and under no circumstance or offer should he be sold.

Wolfsburg are going to have to fight to get into the top four as the teams are so closely matched when you take Bayern and now Dortmund out of the equation. And there's a Champions League tie to negotiate where they have a really good chance of making it to the quarters. It is very important that Rodriguez gets chained down and surrounded by sharks to fend off any agents looking to lure him away.

DO NOT SELL HIM.
