Not Sure if El Sharawy Still Has It with Roma Move

El Sharawy. Remember that name? He used to be play for this team called AC Milan, and was once touted as being the next big thing in Italy. Well, he never lived up to that hype and got eventually sold to Monaco. Since that move, he's been forgotten about and been an afterthought when talking about emerging Italian talent.

Well, he's back in Italy and coming to Roma, a team in need of some serious injection. After their brave defensive display against Juventus, they were eventually breached and the need for Spalletti to add some attacking juice to the team was apparent. They have no offensive flair with Dzeko looking lost all alone as the solitary striker. So maybe the answer is Italy's forgoten child to fire up Roma.

Little problem, I don't believe in El Sharawy. I didn't believe in him when people were hyping him up, and I have even less faith in him being the answer to Roma's problems. The kid has got some talent, but I don't know how he will suddenly turn Roma into a winning team and bolster up their attack. I have no idea why Gervinho was let go because in my view, the Ivorian is much better player than El Sharawy. The Italian may have more potential, but that means jack sugar to me. It's about what you can do on the pitch.

It's up to Spalletti. He has to get something out of El Sharawy. Get the kid actually doing more in a game. Putting himself more in a match, creating chances, linking up with Dzeko and being the spark to ignite Roma when going forward. Right now, they are suffering from the poison that Garcia left them with. Too many passes with zero penetration. With El Sharawy, I'm assuming his role will be to get the ball and run right into the heart of the dungeon to make things happen. Roma are like watching paint dry at the moment, which is scandalous to say of a team that have been known to be one of Italy's more glamorous teams to watch.

I don't think this transfer will work out and believe Spalletti has to dig deeper in the transfer market for two or three players to gradually remove the Garcia influence. Hopefully it does but take my word for it, El Sharawy won't be doing what Higuain or Dybala are offering their teams.
