It's been over a month now, and Jose Mourinho is without a job. The same Mourinho who has won multiple trophies and is one of the best managers the game has ever seen. We all have a few blips, but his catastrophic end to his love affair with Chelsea should not be the determining factor of his credentials. As long as the team pulls for him and there are no female doctors, Mourinho is a man that I am confident will bring success to a club.
All the reports and sources point to Man United as the team Mourinho will take over. Van Gaal looks to be on his way out, and the idea is for Mourinho to come in. It's the job he always wanted; having great respect for Ferguson and believing he was the right man to follow in the great tradition of the club. So why oh why has there been no official confirmation yet so that we can put this all to rest? What is everyone waiting on? Two cookies and a coffee milkshake?
I hate speculation, hearsay and gossip. I'm a man of facts and I want things laid out so that we can get things moving. This has now dragged on for so long that I'm heaing Mourinho may be the next man to join the Chinese Money train. The league is grabbing as many stars as they can and now they want the most popular and controversial manager the sport has ever seen. For myself personally, I want Mourinho right in the European market where I have access to his box office qualities.
Man United should just do right by everyone and come out with a statement. Put us out of our misery and have respect for Van Gaal. This is the same situation with Pellegrini, where they waited and waited until they felt the right thing to do was come out with a statement to stop all the questions and speculation. The same thing should be done with Van Gaal. A decision needs to be made, so that King Louis doesn't have to keep answering these questions about the safety of his job.
I want a statement with immediate effect. Nothing else will suffice.
