Can we all agree that maybe apart from Mahrez and Kante, Douglas Jeremiah Costa is the bargain of the season? Is that fine? Because unless you've never seen him play before or you're just a hater or just being idiotic, Douglas Costa is an absolutely incredible football player that I am proud to rate as high as three kites.
Whenever you are a team as amazing as Bayern and they are incredible. There is no better squad in the world than theirs. But even with all these talents, there is always that one piece missing. That one thing that helps to set yourselves apart from the crowd. Always that one player who makes the puzzle complete and unlocks the chest so all the kids can dive in and get the candy and cookies.
For Heynckes it was Martinez. Their team was almost perfect they kept coming close, but just fell short. Then Martinez slotted in nicely in the defensive-midifeld position, and Bayern made history. A treble were they lubricated and pimp-slapped everyone that came their way. It was that one piece they were missing, Heynckes found it and they became victorious.
I think Pep's Martinez is Mister Douglas. Costa is the kind of player that will tell everyone to fall back while he takes the golden nugget and jumps over the field of flesh-eating piranhas over to the other side. He has the mentality to put the team on his shoulders and deliver when it becomes money time. Not everyone can do so. You need the duality of both having the technical skill and the character to turn that difficult match into your favour. Costa is that dude.
Tis why I am tipping them to win it. Yeah, some may say that my predictions are off and the opposite seems to happen. To those that say so, fudge you, because truly believe this is Bayern's year. Two semi-finals in a two, got to be third time lucky. And it will be Douglas Costa who manages to either deliver that cross or score that G which allows Bayern to get their paws back on that coveted trophy. HH
