Give Van Gaal SOME Credit for Playing Rashford
A lot of United fans simply can't accept that the glory days are over. Ferguson isn't returning and the Glory, Glory Man United chants just don't fit in anymore. A lot of the anger and hate has been pointed at Van Gaal, some is deserved whilst others have been overblown. But can y'all at least give some credit to Gaal for finding Rashford which has been the discovery of the Premiership season?
If you do your research, Van Gaal has been behind a lot of youthful debuts at Barcelona and Bayern, and you can't deny his eye for seeing talent early. Not many managers in the world would take a teenager who's still taking his A-Levels into the first team, but Van Gaal has that midas touch. You saw it with what he did with a young Dutch team who were very unlucky to not make another final.
Just seeing the amount of goals that Rashford has scored, and crucial ones as well, even recently the one against West Ham that helped to take them to the semis, that is incredible for a dude so young. Obviously, most of the credit goes to the player who is actually doing the business on the pitch. But with all the criticism that Van Gaal gets with people still calling for his head, I think there needs to be a pause and some appreciation for him discovering this young talent who has pretty much saved United's season.
Imagine if there was no Rashford? United would probably not beat United, and they would most likely go down against West Ham at Upton Park. So United fans, take three chill pills and just think before you start bitching and moaning about a manager who is doing his best with a really weak squad....that also includes Wayne Rooney. HH
