I will be first to say that I want Leicester City to win the league and I am sure almost every neutral football fan would say the same thing. It's the fairytale story and it would be one of the greatest tales that sport would have ever seen. That kind of "i was there" moment.
But if we want to take all the Hollywood drama out of it, and focus purely on the football, then without three shadows of a doubt, Tottenham have easily played the best football all season. Their amazing attacking play that involves the whole team has been incredible to watch. How Pochettino has gotten them gelling so exquisitely and raised Kane's game as well as introducing us to Delle Alli (Nigerian) has been a treat for any football fan.
It would be bitter and painful if Leicester were to lose the title. Based on how long they have lead the league, and how they've done so without any superstar players, also keeping in mind that they were almost relegated last season. If though, they were to lose the title to Tottenham, we'd all have to put on our football fans and just applaud Spurs because they would have deserved it based on how much they have entertained all of us this season.
Seeing how they took apart both United and Stoke, two fixtures that many thought they would drop points at, just shows the kind of team that they are. Once they are on their game and can get into their groove of how they want to play, then they are almost impossible to defend against and it's likely that you will get played off the pitch as their goal difference shows. This is what we want in football and if the most entertaining team wins the league, how can anyone complain?
I still want Leicester to win it because I am obsessed with the underdog story. If Spurs do make up the ground and pip them before the end, there will be tears of sadness but after those subside, even the Leicester players and fans would have to applaud the incredible effort and performances of Tottenham that made them deserve the win.
