Madrid Showed Their Cheddar against City, but FEAR the Away Goal

This wasn't a great match and went against what I predicted would be an end to end entertainment feast. So I think I have to now learn to just never big up anything because the opposite always seems to happen.

The match sucked...essentially.

But, the happier of the two teams would have to be the rich dudes with million dollar belt in the red corner. Second half, Madrid showed their muscle, quality and the Beast Mode with the Samurai hair and that bit of fluff who wants to call a moustache really opened up City. The gulf in class showed and if I'm being as honest as a choir boy, I do not see how City get their plane tickets to Milan for a final.

The first half was really where City would come out and hold home turf, put Madrid under pressure and give themselves that cheddar needed for the next week. They huffed, puffed, moonwalked and did the boogie; but nothing was getting past Pepe who was probably man-of-the-match. He stood as tall as a Portuguese turnip and defended and swatted all that came in his way.

Madrid didn't do much attacking and Benzema did his best impression of an overweight deadbeat dad who just got let out of prison. Real were happy to soak up all that pressure like a sponge, and invite City onto them. Problem is, Pellegrini nor the players on the pitch had any answers. Navas had a nice view behind the sticks not having to do anything. He could have brought his lunchbox to dine on tuna and fresh broccoli and he wouldn't have let a goal in.

Second half was where I think it all swung in the favour of Madrid. They could have and should have scored. Modric, the Croatian wavy-haired maestro strutted his stuff with distribution that would make any Hollywood production company jealous. He controlled the game alongside his confidante, Bale who showed that there's some skill to go with his speed and physical attributes.

And of course...we can't forget Marcelo, the most underrated footballer in the world, my current favorite and a dude who will do something so crazy in a match that if you catch, you will scream and leap up in football-loving glee.

Advantage Madrid. They're at home, Cristiano should come back and they've shown they can defend City as well as open them up. They surely should win.

However....rather than Fear the Walking Dead....one must Fear the Away Goal. City's glimmer of hope. HH
