Cristiano Should Have Taken the China Cash. 150 Mill A WEEK?!!!!

They say the that money is the root of all evil.

Well, not really...it's actually man that is the root of the evil, with money simply being a conduit, and not the prime cause.

Cristiano was offered a staggering 150 million a year to play in China, and people have commended his morality and ethics by rejecting it and staying with Real Madrid.

This is the unpopular opinion but I think that my Portuguese friend should have taken the cheddar, and pretty much start to think of a retirement plan and legacy to leave behind for the next generation of his offspring, which the Chinese deal would have presented to him.

So yes, there is a very strong argument that Cristiano should show integrity by choosing footballing prestige over money. Real Madrid are one of the most famous and respected clubs in the world and Cristiano wants to leave something unforgettable behind at that establishment.

Thing is, Cristiano has already done that. He has won every trophy possible with Real Madrid, been top scorer and broken many individual records. So please tell me, what else is there for him to achieve at Madrid?

Be the first Madrid player to score five hundred goals in one season?

He is done achieving at Real Madrid and the one football achievement that still evades Cristiano is that World Cup which he likely will never get. So why not just say his goodbyes to the footballing world, and think about life away from the pitch?

The amount of money China are offering is insane; to pay someone that amount just makes your jaw drop, but in their minds it's a sensible investment.

They will be bringing in one of the most popular modern footballers on the planet, so within a few months after all the adverts and promotional events, they would be close to making their money back.

As for Cristiano, this could be an exciting adventure for him. Apart from being even richer beyond his wildest dreams, he can open the world to a whole new market and make his brand even more global.

I know that Cristiano is someone who looks at the bigger picture, as you can see with the release of his fragrances and underwear line. He is already trying to establish himself in life after football, so just imagine what more he could do with the cash China are ready to give him?

Remember this is China, and they have the ambition, vision and finances to do things on a grand scale. They are an emerging economy and you can only imagine what they could do with Cristiano, that would be more spectacular than anything the European territories could do.

And it's no secret that Cristiano is egotistical, and being the undisputed best paid footballer on this green and white rock would be music to his ears, and a one up on the dimuinitive Argentine that he is obsessed with superceding.

Cristiano...think about the offer, and you will see in the long run, it makes sense for your personal life beyond football.
