I don't get what Dunga was trying to pull. I really do not believe that he thinks he is in the right, in changing the way Brazil play. Just imagine if Argentina were not allowed to dribble and only play the long ball with ten men behind? Or Italy playing with five attacking players and a high line? It would not be right and both countries just would not get very far. If you try and go against your DNA, you will rightfully get burned and put out to dry.
Paraguay are a tough team. They are by no means a team I would label as bricks. But they are not a team I would call world-class or guys who can take you out to lunch and not pay. That's Germany, Holland, Argentina. For Brazil to sit back and hardly attack after going a goal up was shocking. I literally could not believe I was watching a Brazil match where they were boring to watch. You had Wilian running around aimlessly because there was nobody to pass to. You had Dani Alves doing his best to be a wing back but Filipe Luis is NOT an attacking minded defender, which is why he shouldn't even be allowed to wear the Brazilian shirt.
As of writing this, Dunga BETTER be sacked. It would be an affront to all that is good if he is allowed to keep his job after the bullcrap display of Brazil. End of the day, he failed. His mission was to bring home the Copa or at LEAST get to the Final in a more convincing fashion than defending like a bunch of babies. He totally and completely failed his mission, so it's up to the Brazilian federation to really actually do their job properly and find a coach who can bring back the goodness and talent of Brazilian football.
With Paraguay, they just keep rolling. Still undefeated, and have come back from being down, three times. Argentina won't find it easy when they meet again, with their coach knowing to play more braver than they did in that first half. And when Paraguay really play, they are good. They even showed more skill and dynamism going forward than Brazil. It's just about them believing in themselves that their defence will keep it under wraps because they are fighters, and they should be more offensive. And if they can somehow rejuvenate Barrios, that will be great because Santa Cruz should be banned from entering a pitch after that shockingly awful penalty miss. The cheek to even join in the celebrations after they had won.
Dunga better be sacked....
