Ibra Should Return to Milan...and THIS IS WHY
Is there any point in this PSG project? Really. I thought that all these players were supposed to be bought for them to be on the same level as Bayern, Barcelona and Madrid? But winning the French League and Cup does NOT put you on any level worth noting. And with the biggest clown in the business known as Blanc....I have to ask the question again....
Is there any point in this PSG project?
Milan will always be Milan and will always be known more globally than PSG. The Paris experiment is merely a product of the decadence that football finds itself in today. The very fact that with one of the most talented teams in the world, they have been unable to even sniff the semi-final stage is proof that this project is going nowhere....especially under a coach who couldn't even spell tactics if his life depended on it.
That is why Ibra should give the return to Milan something a lot stronger than just a consideration. It's a mission that would revitalize him, offer a bigger challenge and would more blood in his veins than sleepwalking through a match against Evian. After all, the whole point of being in football is to not only win trophies and prove yourself as an individual, but to also step up to a challenge and try and knock it down with both hands. The state of Milan right now with joker like Abate, is something that should really interest Ibra. The dominance of Juventus who are yet to have any equal is something that should raise his eyebrows and offer up a temptation that would be far too good to pass up.
Whatever happens, Ibra will be remembered for some of the craziest goals an individual has scored. But he will always have that asterisk of having never won the Champions League. Not doing it for Sweden can easily be passed by based on the quality. But having played for Juventus, Inter, Milan and now the million dollar PSG, to not be able to have that big medal to show for all those troubles will never let him into that elite club. So for now, it's about achieving something a little different but still meaningful...helping out the Milanisti fans who have gone through more suffering that can be deemed acceptable for a club of such stature. Ibra coming back to Milan would instantly change the entire landscape of the Serie A and they would automatically become title challengers, especially with the losses that Juventus have sustained in their team.
I just don't see the appeal of winning Ligue 1 after Ligue 1. There's no challenge. PSG and the rest of those in that league are from different existences. If PSG were in the semis or finals of the Champions League then Ibra would have a point in staying...but they aren't. When you look at the Barcelona easily handled them both home and away, it doesn't look like if they will be reaching a semi-final let alone a final anytime soon. That's why AC Milan could be something, and with the Sinister as the coach, who would be able to attract more players if Ibra does go, there's always space for a dark horse in the Champions League to come out of nowhere and find themselves in a final where all bets are really off when the ref blows that whistle.
Ibra....go back home, and SAVE Milan.
