Well, I think we can all agree that for the first time in centuries, most eyes will be on the league that produced the two best teams last year. The 90's was all about Serie A and the might of Milan and Juventus. Then we had the 2G's that saw United, Chelsea and even Liverpool get in the mix and recently the success of Barcelona with Madrid chipping in. But there is a new dawn.
Its the classic and always loved David vs Goliath story. Bayern were UNSTOPPABLE last season and seem to have gotten stronger with Pep in charge...yeah...let's see about that. On the other hand, the German David that is Dortmund have proven to be that nagging itch that Bayern just cannot get rid of. So it will be great to see them both do battle.
But what about Leverkusen? Only team to beat Bayern under the guidance of Voller. And Schalke 04 who have one of the best target men....Huntelaar. I really want to see some of the other teams step up and take the challenge to the force of Bayern and Dortmund.
I am just happy the Bundesliga is back in the headlines as for many years, it has been one of the best leagues to watch. Oh, and fans are treated much better with the ticket prices.
