Is Neymar Finally Ready to Step Up for Barcelona after Celtic Hat Trick?
A lot of talk has been had about the customary NEXT BRAZILIAN wonder man. After dribbling the faces, lungs and intestines out of his victims in Brazil, Neymar took his footballing talents to Barcelona. After some people muttering, and whispering about whether he could fill the Messi void and being criticized for not scoring enough goals....Neymar answered back and HIT THREE against Celtic, with two goals that showed why he may be ready to finally express his own brand of football.
His first goal was good anticipation to follow the great passing play and be in the right place at the right time. But it was his two other goals that is what Neymar is about.
The flick pass, and the finish in the top corner showed how he has that extra Brazilian juice that ramps up the creative attack and style of Barcelona's play.
Then you had a goal that came all the way from Brazil. Neymar's roll over and slip through the defenders legs and finish showed why Barcelona had been chasing their man. THAT is what I want to see from Neymar and that is what Martino wants Neymar to be doing a lot more of. It is a tough task to fill in the void of Messi, and knowing of just how MUCH he does and has contributed to the team is a serious burden...but people need to MAN UP, stop sucking up and just get it done and really show a bit of arrogance and self-worth.
It's an important season for Neymar as well as every other star. You always want to do well in this World Cup season, but not too well, in case too much is expected of you. Neymar just needs to express himself, enjoy his football and really be the guy who dribbles and moves with the ball rather than being just another cog in the ever revolving passing wheel of Barcelona. If he does that, I am more than confident he will provide what Messi provided. Martino just needs to let the Brazilian boy free and release him from his chains!
