Yaya Toure Proving Again Why he is THE BEST Central Midfielder in the World
Yeah yeah, blah blah, they will all talk about Suarez or Messi, or the underwear model, but there is one name people seem to be missing. There is that one dude who pretty much covers EVERY aspect of this beautiful game of football. He ain't got the glamor, or all that shanaz...but Yaya Toure MUST be held amongst THE best footballers on this planet. That's a fact and don't give me NOTHING else about it.
In what was THE best match of the Premiership so far, we saw two teams that were pretty much on the same level. I don't know what weed Liverpool smoked, but they were DAMN good, and played much better than I expected. City found it tough, and hard, but whenever they rose to the challenge...Yaya was involved.
This guy tackled, he passed, he facilitated one-twos, he ran with the ball, he put in through balls, he created shots for himself. I mean, this guy pretty much did EVERYTHING and was ALL OVER the pitch. You remove this guy from the City team, and I am sorry, as good as Fernandinho is, the team WILL struggle. That's just a cold hard fact of the matter. So much is dependent on him, and he has such a monumental effect on the defence and the attack of City. The thing as well is he has improved SO MUCH since his days at Barcelona. What REALLY makes him dangerous is his ability to run with the ball and hold off tacklers. Before, he never really had that shooting ability or mentality to know how to attack. Right now though, WHENEVER City attack, this guy is right there and is involved.
I want this man to get more praise, and I shall be singing them. Right now as we speak, he is THE most complete footballer on the planet. If I was picking a team, I don't go onto a pitch without him. Fine, you need those who score goals...but who will supply them the chances? Fine, you need those to defend, but what happens when the defenders need extra protection? Sue me, the CENTRAL MIDFIELDER IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POSITION IN FOOTBALL. If you use logic, you know that I am not on drugs when I say that. That position is right in the middle of the pitch. It is the link in the chain. The attack is DEPENDENT on the midfield for it to function, and an all-out attacking team can ONLY be stopped by midfielder coming back to help the defence. Yaya Toure does this to a MAXIMUM level, and I can't name anyone else in the world that does it like him.
Yaya, you are on my list on one of the most important footballers in the world, and a damn, freakin ENGINE of a footballer.
