BRAZIL SQUEEZE THROUGH ON PEN AGAINST CHILE, BUT THIS TEAM CAN'T WIN WITH FRED AND....JO AS STRIKERS

Brazil made it through. One of the most emotionally draining matches I've seen, a VERY close match and why we watch football. Chile were INCHES away...literally, from beating Brazil in their backyard. But it was not to be...and yes, PENALTIES had to decide it and what a shootout that was. Damn. The problem I do wish to talk about though is this issue of the strikers where Brazil is concerned. Brazil have NO strikers, and if this problem persists with Neymar having to take all the weight....Brazil HAVE NO CHANCE OF WINNING THIS CUP.

Fred was great at the Confederations Cup. He linked up well with Neymar and seem more involved in Brazil's and Scolari's type of play. Those two goals by him in the Final against Spain, showed off how versatile and instinctive he was as a striker. From that match, I was turned and I believed we saw Fred Flinstone turn into Fred Goals.

Sadly, in this World Cup...where it actually really matters, we have seen Fred Flinstone return. He can't seem to link with Hulk, Oscar and Neymar and can hardly do anything himself. So when you have your striker, even if it's your main striker not firing on all cylinders, that's where you can call in a good replacement. So on comes Rivaldo who has taken some juice to shorten his age! Nope....here comes....Jo....the second half of this RnB duo.

Jo is worse than Fred. He looks immobile, lacks any sharpness and you don't feel at any time he is actually going to be able to put the ball in the net. When he came on, he had a GREAT chance to win it for Brazil, a chance that would have been eaten up by Ronaldo or Romario...instead it fell to Jo who did not LOOK like he was even close to scoring that chance. Fred...and...Jo....missing chances and playing as if in slow-mo....

People have talked about this for a while and I think Scolari must no consider it...HE MUST BLOODY DO IT. Hulk must play in the middle, as the striker. He can shoot, he can dribble, he is strong, he can make SPACE for his own shot and he IS better than both Fred and Jo combined. It's a serious shuffle, but it's a shuffle that needs to be done. Brazil are coming up against a VERY good Colombian side who also know how to defend. They would be happy dealing with Fred and Jo for eternity....but THE HULK, especially if he turns green on them will cause them A LOT of problems.

Scolari....CHANGE IT NOW, BOTH FRED AND JO AIN'T WORKING.
