Can Klopp EVER bring back title to Dortmund from Bayern?

It was only a pre-season game. A pre-season match that did not feature Dortmund's best players. It was only...a pre-season game. That is what must be ringing in Klopp's ears. But a defeat IS a defeat. Nobody likes to lose, even at tiddlywinks...and losing heavily? Nooooo.

Dortmund's new players don't look like they are gelling yet. Ramos looked a bit more fluid than Immobile against Liverpool, but both players LACKED sharpness. They just aren't connecting the same way Lewandowski did. It was always going to be a major loss, and unless Ramos and Immobile can produce magic....Dortmund will feel that loss.

The Bundesliga season starts soon and Bayern as well as Klopp's old boy are looking ready. Granted, they haven't been super sharp with the World Cup contingent slowly coming back to fitness...but they will be ready. I'm just worried that these new players won't fit the Dortmund style and instead of competing against Bayern, Klopp will have to fight against Schalke and Leverkusen for second.

The mad scientist with the blonde hair must be given some faith. He FOUND Lewandowski and was the first to nab Reus before anyone. Both have become better players under his tutelage, so there may be hope in him waving his magic wand and making Ramos and Immobile into better footballers. Hopefully....not certainly.

Klopp is fighting the impossible. A behemoth that seeks to crush all in its path with the power of money. All Jurgen can do is keep with the philosophy, grind away at those league games and bring the pain to Bayern. On Wednesday, we will see what the gap is. It's a match BOTH teams want to win, and one that can help Klopp see before the season, what needs to be worked on.

Fight the good fight, Kloppy
