That Curious Case of Casillas

It's over. All good things come to an end. Empires rise, and then they fall. It was a good ride for Iker. At a point, he was the BEST goalkeeper in the world. Now, he makes mistakes for fun.

I hear Ancelotti will start him in the Super Cup. I don't even know what to make of that call. This may not be a Copa Del Rey or Champions League match, but it is high-profile enough to tank him. If he SCREWS up, then this dude might truly be done. Toast. Caput.

As a goalkeeper, you are allowed maybe one mistake every seven or so games. As a keeper for a BIG club, you can only be given three or four mistakes a SEASON....MAX. Casillas makes mistakes as often as he breathes. And you just don't suddenly stop making them. You feel me?

Let's see what happens tonight. Sevilla would have watched tapes and seen that Casillas is now prone to mistakes. IF, Casillas runs off his line too early or punches off a corner to a Sevilla player...he may have to contend with the embarrassment of being a benched goalkeeper.
