The Spirit of Moyes Haunts Manchester United in 2-1 loss to Swansea

You really thought he'd left. Everyone assumed that the international calibre coach would come and expunge the demons that Moyes plagued United with. To all those that thought that...THINK AGAIN.

United look better under Gaal. No more cowboy football, but a more composed team with and without the ball. But Gaal's defense is a joke, and Swansea exploited that.

I cannot ever remember United starting a season where THREE of their starting backline left. Moyes DID have Evra, Vidic and Ferdinand. Gaal has a back four of rookies who were exposed by a Swansea team that went direct, quick and tried to find rapid straight passes through the middle.

Going forward, United were too slow. A lot of passing, but no penetration. The midfield of United's is a total laughing stock. There is no one there. No real leader, or someone to define how they play. It could be Mata, but he never really took charge of the game.
Monk has a good chance to sneak into the top eight or seven if his team keep this quality of play. I've always liked Dyer and Bony is a very underrated striker. But as ordinary as United were attacking, that titan called Ashley Williams kept it firm at the back. So there ought to be much applause for what Swansea did...United's bogey team...HA

What Moyes did to United may last YEARS. I look at this team, and only a MIRACLE will make them make it to top four. You need PLAYERS. Without the right troops, you cannot expect to compete with other elite squads. Because SQUADS win championships and get in the top four.

Gonna be a looooong ass season....
