Can Del Bosque and Spain cope without Fabregas and Costa?

Nobody MESSES with my boy! If my boy does not want players to leave, they don't leave. And Vicente seems to understand that. But now here comes a situation where the Spanish head honcho says if there are other players that come in and do better, Costa and Fabregas will be on the sidelines.

Spain are NOT the force they once were. They are yesterday's news and hoping Del Bosque realises the team needs to evolve. There are guys like Isco, Koke and so forth who can come in and must replace the old guard of Iniesta and Xavi. But when you look at Chelsea and how well-oiled and efficent they are....Fabregas and Costa are the centre of it all. So it is in Del Bosque's best interests to find a way of fitting those two in and building a new Spain AROUND them.

Tic-tac-toe is an ancient philosophy. It has no business in today's game where teams have found it out. And when you look at the new era of Spain, the best of the bunch don't play for Barcelona. Xavi and Iniesta are feeling the strain of old age and so it must fall to Fabregas to anchor the midfield and guide Isco and Koke. As for Costa, Del Bosque must morph the team AROUND his attributes and not try and force him into another philosophy. That is where Spain can be a real threat at the Euros.

But keep an eye out. Mourinho will not back down and will use all means to protect his prized assets. And Del Bosque will have to do the right thing and pick those who play regularly for him.
