If Messi were to Leave Barcelona.....Would This be the Right Move?

Okay...he did not say CATEGORICALLY he would leave Barcelona. But then, he did not come out and totally deny ever leaving. So he has left the door open and now thugs like myself can now speculate as to whether or not Messi should leave Barcelona, and how it would impact BOTH parties.

Messi IS modern Barcelona. The king of the tiki era. The man that Pep owes his early successes to. You take Messi out of Barcelona and they are not a threat on ANY front. As good as the Cannibal is and as talented as Neymar is, Messi is that icing on the cake and the heartbeat of the team. He is no longer able to do what he once did hence why I point to my man Neymar to take over, but for Messi to COMPLETELY go...that would be ripping off the foundations of this modern Barcelona home. But what will Messi actually do and where would he or SHOULD he go?

Bayern has been mentioned as a possible destination but I am not sure how that would work.
Pep's Bayern are pretty much stacked and even though Messi would just improve on what is already an amazing team, I just don't see how he is needed in that setup with the way Gotze is playing and with him having more years than Messi who is soon going to approach that 30 mark. But Messi at Bayern would pretty much spell serious issues for everyone. To have someone behind Lewandowski and Robben who can feed them would be DISASTROUS for their opponents. Just imagine how Messi and Robben were to link up.....very freaking scary.

If I were Messi, at this stage in his career and his mindset, I am not too sure Bayern or even Man City or Chelsea would be the right move. All those teams would take him, but what would be the point? This is a guy with all those golden balls, a TWO TIME Champions League winner and a dude that has cleaned house domestically. All that is left is getting those titles for Argentina...that is it. It's the only thing that is missing from his resume.

All that is left for Messi to do is return home. It's what Riquelme did and it is what I would advise. To tell you the truth, I would say maybe a year or two at Barcelona and just as he hits the golden age of 30, go back to Argentina.

Who would criticize him for making that move? Tell me what else he has to prove at Barcelona? To win more La Liga titles? How many people can say they are TWO TIME Champions League winners? There is nothing to motivate him anymore at Barcelona, and you can see the lack of motivation in his body language.

I really don't know how many titles Newell's Old Boys have won but I know for a fact that Boca Juniors and River Plate RUN that league...but River Plate recently got screwed but there is an opportunity there for Messi. We understand the unfinished business he still has with Argentina, but to be able to win titles with his boyhood club is a GREAT motivator. Look at Lebron going back to Cleveland. I can bet you anything now, if Lebron or Messi were to win with their hometown/boyhood teams, it would be sweeter than ALL THE TITLES and accolades they have won. Because Messi knows deep down he is ain't Spanish and moreso, he ain't Catalan. He is Argentine and that fact starts to become more pronounced and have greater meaning as one gets older.
