Bayern should beat FC Porto...but will be tricky. - Champions League Draw Reaction

Bayern right now are the strongest TEAM. Barcelona are the most exciting and attacking, but Bayern just look like a freaking machine.

This is a very good draw for Bayern, but FC Porto are the team I picked as being a very tricky draw.

Bayern have secured the league, and expect them to also lay down the cup. Also, with their big cats coming back from injury, this is a task perhaps too strong for FC Porto. But, and there is always a but, I have seen FC Porto play and they are a dangerous team.

As amazing as Bayern are, they have a weakness as all teams do. Because of Pep insisting on always having a high line, teams like Dortmund and Arsenal who move the ball forward quickly, can do damage to them, catching them off the break. But the reason why Bayern are cruising in the league playing the high risk defensive line, is due to the amazing defensive IQ of Boateng, Alonso, Alaba and now Bart Simpson.

When teams do try and counter them, their intelligence allows them to be in the right place at the right time, or anticipate where the pass is going to go, or in which direction the player will go for the dribble. This is a paramount feature in the success of Pep's Bayern, which also puts less pressure on their frontmen to keep hitting G's, which they can.

FC Porto are not Schalke, Dortmund or Augsburg. They have very skillful players, who are confident
on the ball and have no fear. They are a positive thinking team, who don't necessarily throw many men forward, but with Tello, Martinez and the rest of their crew, there is enough creativity there to at least make this more interesting than the joke that was Donetsk.

All in all, in the two legs, I just don't think when or if the match gets tight, FC Porto have the players or character to get it done. Any team that has Robben Hood the Prince of Thieves will AlWAYS have a chance until the referee blows that whistle. And that is why this match may be interesting, but Bayern will ultimately get the win.

I just want to see a Quaresma vs Robben Hood slugfest personally, and see how far, individually they can push each of their teams. That's just my side thang....
