Ahmed Musa Bid of £15 Million by Leicester Rejected. Ranieri Making Moves....

Leicester City are not playing around. They were going for Eder, one of Italy's best strikers, and now they have set their sights on the Super Eagle captain and one of the most underrated wingers, Ahmed Musa. You can understand why the bid would have been rejected, but there's still time to pull off what would be an amazing transfer.

Watching CSKA Moscow duke it out in what was the tightest Champions League group, one of the players that stood out what Musa. His wing play and the way he caused teams problems anytime he had the ball, was where Moscow's only hope for going through would come from. In the end they lost out, but Musa was a player that would have stayed in people's minds.

I know Musa really well, having seen him in the Nations Cup, Confederations Cup and the World Cup. Sometimes he can be really good and other times, you have to wonder what the hell the man is doing. His decisions can be erratic, and at times he will rush things and end up spoiling what could have been a great attacking opportunity for his team. Nevertheless, the man can play and in this era where wingers don't want to cross or work the width, he would be a revelation for Ranieri.

I'm not sure how much Ranieri has to spend, but if he can up that bid by another five or seven million, then he may get his man. Looking at Leicester and how they may be on the cusp on something historic, and also the speed of the Premiership, Ranieri should put as much pressure as he can on the board to give him the funds to secure Musa. Obviously, with the Eder deal on the line it has to be either or as I doubt they can afford both players.

Eder should definitely be a priority as he's the better player and I still am baffled as to how it's even a possibility. But if he can't get Eder, then they must do all they can to acquire Musa. The board have to believe in this team, and put their money where their mouth is. Even if they don't win the title, with how close things are, the top four will be a battle. In order to secure that, they need reinforcements, and not just players from the road. Musa or Eder would be a great help as Leicester stare down the final few miles of this marathon.
