De Bruyne is Key to City's Success this Season

De Freakin Bruyyyyyyyne. That Belgian boy does it again. When wil he get the credit that he deserves? When can we stop talking about Hazard as Belgium's best player and instead focus on the man who is doing his talking on the pitch? Enter Kevin, who has become City's best signing and could be the man to turn this season into a succesful one.

Watching City and Everton, and how the boys from Manchester had the Liverpool club in a chokehold, it seemed inevitable they were going to score. But with these games, City could have tried and persisted and may have come up short in the end. We've seen games like this before, where a team that should have won based on the amounts of shots on target they had, end up losing.

Then on comes De Bruyne, and he totally changed the game. He was already taking it to Everton, in the way that he makes his runs, works the wing and initiates attacks by playing the right ball. But when Sterling hooked that ball back, he was the first on the scene like an eager rookie detective, and smashed home the goal that got the comeback on the way.

But the Belgian was not finished, and he reminded people why he has the title of "Assist King" with a great cross for Aguero who finished it perfectly in the corner. A goal, an assist, almost a perfect game. Apart from him getting injured, which Pellegrini must hope isn't serious. De Bruyne has proven he is very valuable to City and without him, I'm not sure how well they will do this season.

City have an amazing squad. Once they are on their game, they can beat anybody in the Premier League very easily. However, even when you have all this talent, you've got to have those two or three diamonds that make your team exceptional and are the game-winners. De Bruyne is that player who transforms a good team into a very good one that can actually win trophies. It's all about being effective and doing things in a match that wins games for your team.

The season is getting really interesting now. City have a final to look forward to, FA Cup, a title race and a meeting with Kyev in the Champions League. It is imperative De Bruyne is part of this run-in, as if he is, then there's a good chance City could have a pretty healthy trophy cabinet at the end of this season.
