Gareth Neville Needs to Just Step Down NOW from Valencia Job

What's the point? Is there any real reason why Neville is still continuing as the manger of Valencia? After the seven humiliation and the fact that he doesn't deserve the job?

I can understand that Neville wants to show himself being defiant and strong in the face of intense criticism. Nobody likes a quitter, and Neville has always had a very strong and assertive personality on the field and as a pundit. That is all perfectly understandable, but this is the big boy world now. There's no time to be patted on the back for being defiant. Gareth needs to face the reality that he went in way over his head and he should never have accepted this job.

As people have mentioned, it's one thing taking a coaching job in the Premiership when you have no experience. Even if he was announced as the new Norwich manager, I'd scratch my head and wonder how he got the post over more qualified coaches that can reveal their badges like girl scouts showing their cookies. But Neville had to not only take a job in another country where he doesn't even speak the language, but it had to be Valencia, one of Spain's biggest clubs.

Madness.

The slashing by Barcelona was a message to Neville. Maybe he wants to ignore it or is simply rejecting it. For those that don't know, the message is simple:

"You are not cut out for this job."

I kindly ask Neville to please heed this. For his own good, he should just walk away. Valencia are currently four points off the relegation zone, and with the way Neville is "leading" the team, doesn't look like the wins will start flowing in anytime soon. So, you could have a serious situation where one of Spain's biggest clubs now find themselves in a relegation battle.

P.S. Why wasn't Phil Neville promoted as caretaker till the end of the season? You know, that's what normally happens because the assistant already has knowledge of the team and all that.

Maybe it was too obvious a choice?
