Gundogan, Aubamayeng...DON'T Leave Dortmund for Barcelona

I don't know why footballers feel the need to have to do this. When they have a real good thing going on, they just want to get up and leave it behind and head into the path of the unknown. There's nothing wrong in testing yourself and trying to compete, but not every footballer is fortunate enough to be in an environment that works well for them and is going places.

If we were talking of the Dortmund of last season where Klopp was fighting off relegation and it seemed the club were feeling the effects of Lewandowski's and Gotze's departure, then I would have been waving the flag and booking the flights for Gundogan to leave. You can't expect perhaps the best central midfielder in the world to fight it out with a team who are not competing with the best of the best and aiming for titles. The best need to play with the best.

This season is different though. Tuchel has had one of the best debut seasons for a manager I've ever seen, when you consider where the club where last season. Aubamayeng has had his best ever season, and Gundogan has taken his midifield game to the next level. The Tuchel effect has been amazing and has made Dortmund probably the best football team to watch right now.

So why change this?

All because Barcelona are the best club team in the world and look like they can win the Champions League every season and are pretty much taking the La Liga in their sleep. But is it really all that fun playing in a team where there is no challenge? Where winning by less than three goals is considered an off day? A club in which beating 90% of the teams is as easy as eating Vanilla ice-cream?

I implore Aubamayeng and Gundogan to remain at Dortmund. Tuchel has a really exciting project that's brewing. They are guaranteed to be playing in the Champions League next season, and I am sure that he will be able to attract even more players in the summer because of the European football package. Gundogan and Aubamayeng are certified starters in a team that is good enough to compete for titles and can really go places. Good teams are just good teams, and if you always play the right way, you may hit a few roablocks but more times than not you'll attain success.

Don't leave Dortmund and make Barcelona even more of a monopoly whilst portraying the La Liga as even more of a no-contest than it already is.

Keep on, keep keeping on with the Tuchel project.HH
