Leicester Won't Win the Premiership Early. Going Down to the Wire
Nope. No way. I do not believe that Leicester will win the league before the end of the season. Do not think for a second that it will be all done and dusted early. The way this season has gone with all the twists and turns, it makes perfect sense that it has a fitting dramatic finale which must occur on the final day.
Don't be fooled by the fixtures that Leicester have which are "easier" than Arsenal's and Tottenham's. That doesn't matter. It's the same Leicester who drew against Aston Villa, a team which may very well go down as perhaps the worst and most useless team in Premiership history. So there is a strong argument that Leicester will drop points against the so-called lesser teams.
As for the others?
I've gone on record to say Arsenal will probably win all their games from now till the end of the season. They are one of the best finishers, just a shame they don't start and progress in the same way they conclude. As for Spurs, they could very well win these matches that people think they will lose. You can't deny this has been a crazy league where everyone has beaten everyone, so there shouldn't be a notion of Spurs having matches which they should lose, because you just can't predict how it's all going to go down.
Playing Man United these days is no longer considered a tough fixture.
But this has been a story, an epic tale. Already it will go down as the most eventful Premier league season of all time. What better way to end what has already been such a saga of a campaign by having three teams all compete for the trophy on the last day of the season? That is the script that I am sure has already been written, except I don't know where the story ends.
Leicester picking up full points in their next few games with Spurs and Arsenal slipping up, would feel more like an anti-climax. So much excitement of seeing City fall, Arsenal rise and fall, Leicester shocking everyone, Tottenham coming out of nowhere to compete and for all that to end in the next few matches? Nah. It goes down to the wire, and perhaps even to the very last kick just like when Aguero won it in the very last minute for City.
I want Leicester to win it, they are my pick to do it but honestly, the way this season has gone, even Arsenal of all team could come out with what would be a shock beyond shocks and steal it under everyone's nose.
It's just been that kind of mad season. HH
