Is Mourinho really the Right Man to Save Man United?

Nobody, and I mean nobody on this planet will be happier to see My Boy return to the Premiership than me. It' been too long since we've seen the biggest box-office draw. I'd be happy if he was even the coach of Swansea. All that mattered is geting him back.

If it's true that he will be the manager of United, does that mean that this once great club will be saved? How sure are we that Mourinho, as great as he is, will bring back the good times for United?

There is a hype culture that goes on in this world. People are far too reactionary and are ready to jump on that hype train. They don't read the small print, or look at the bigger picture. Whatever gives them the instant excitement, they will go along with it.

Mourinho represents that. One of the most successful managers of all time, a strict authoritarian and someone that many believe is what United need to get back to the big time. It seems as if United fans should start rejoicing now. Next season, they will get the right players and get rid of the wrong ones. Manchester United will finally take back their Premier League title and start to be a force again in Europe.

But isn't this just a little premature?

I don't know what people have been smoking, but Louis Van Gaal is not a bad manager. He is a very good one, and so is Moyes. Yes, David Jeremiah Moyes is a good coach as well. They both have the resumes to prove it, and anyone that says otherwise is either a moron or just a hater.

So it leads me to perhaps propose that if two really good managers were not able to be successful with United, what makes everyone think Mourinho will be? After all, Mourinho's last job did not go exactly to plan. You can argue that the players gave up on him and there was a mutiny, but that may be an indictment against his ability to control whatever drama happens in the dressing room.

I think people have not looked at this notion. That Man United are just going through a barren spell right now, and there needs to be total revamp and restructuring of the team from top to bottom. There are some really good players in the team, but you've also got a number of bricks that are still lurking. This isn't a quick fix where Mourinho can just walk in, wave a magic wand and everything will be solved.

Nope.

Everyone just needs to calm down and not expect My Boy to be an instant success with United because the probems and issues may be far deeper and complicated than people understand. HH
